  An Outlaw For Christmas

(A Back Down Devil MC Novel)

All I want for Christmas…is the woman I can’t have.

I’ve finally patched in to Back Down Devil MC and I’m ready to drink, fight and f*ck. Then they give me my first assignment: I’m going to be a goddamn babysitter?! Tia, a woman half the city is hunting, needs protection. Okay, fine. Except she turns out to be a smart-mouthed, curvy beauty who sets my soul on fire. And Prez makes it clear: if I so much as touch her, I’m out of the club.

The tension is unbearable: every time I look at this woman, I’m imagining throwing her down on the bed. Then it gets worse: when her enemies close in, Tia and I are sent off to a remote cabin in the woods. Neither of us can resist. Her body is mine. And I know this is about more than just making her moan my name. I’m crazy for this woman.

They can take my cut, my ride, even my life…but I’m not giving her up.

  one.

  (D)

I was finally getting patched in to Back Down Devil MC. It was a long year of my life running as a prospect, taking any kind of job I could for the MC, making sure the patched in guys and their old ladies were always safe. Working all night to keep the clubhouse safe. Taking hits when needed. Shit, even doing a little stint in jail because the club needed someone to take the fall for a big fuck up.

But the vote went through and the guys - my brothers - decided I was worthy of the cut. The true cut. The only fucking cut I had ever wanted to wear in my entire life.

I lit up a cigarette as I sat on my motorcycle. I looked across the lot and out to the little town of Daurian. It was a fucking beautiful day and things were only going to get better. The second I put that cut on, I wanted a shot, a beer, and I wanted two women. Both of them on their knees, begging and fighting for a turn with my cock. I’d fill their bellies and pussies with enough of me to keep them full for weeks.

I heard the rumble of motorcycles and the gates were opened as most of the main table started to pile in. Trev and Jasper leading the pack. Trent and Duke behind them. Austin and Max. They flew into the lot and right to their spots. It was like they were synchronized outlaws, walking their rides backwards and stepping off.

They all walked by me with a head nod, with the exception of Trev.

He stopped at the front of my ride.

  “You ready?” he asked.

  “Always ready, Prez,” I said.

“Besides the first pussy you touched, this is the biggest day of your life,” Trev said.

“This is bigger and better,” I said. “First pussy I touched was my best friend’s older sister. Want to hear the story?”

“Not at all,” Trev said. “Not at fucking all. Come inside.”

I let Prez walk to the clubhouse.

I finished off my cigarette with a few deep drags and then tossed it to the ground. I climbed off my motorcycle and tugged at my leather cut. It was a prospect cut. All black. The Back Down Devil MC logo on the front left breast. Nothing else.

In this life you had to earn every fucking stitch on your cut and in your skin. Shit, you had to earn every stitch in your heart, too. Learn how to fight. Learn how to kill. Learn how to walk away from anything that resembled feelings because dragging women into this life was a risk.

Plus, with all the pussy around the clubhouse, why bother to settle for just one?

I took a deep breath and readied myself. This wasn’t going to be a handshake ceremony. I still had to prove that I wanted the leather cut.

From the corner of my eye I saw a black car pull up to the gates. Two prospects opened the gates and the car came into the lot. It stopped halfway and the vehicle just sat there, idling.

  “What the fuck?” I whispered.

The prospects were running toward the car.

Good for them. That was their job.

I turned and walked toward the clubhouse.

It didn’t matter who was in the car.

Even if it was someone who would forever change my life.

  two.

  (Tia)

I still had the visions fresh in my mind. The firetruck lights bouncing off the apartment building. All the Christmas lights on all the balconies, lit, Christmas trees behind the curtains and blinds, the innocence of the season. Firefighters screaming orders, the building evacuating, families scrambling to get to safety. A little girl with long blonde hair being held by her father, wearing Christmas pajamas. A little boy holding his mother’s hand.

“Mommy, what about our tree? What about my list? I told you we should have sent it to Santa today!”

That was eight at night, when the apartment building caught on fire. And not just caught on fire, but set up. Someone went after me. Threw a bottle on a tire through my window and it was like a bomb going off.

There were only two apartments harmed by fire. The rest was water damage by the fire department. Christmas would be saved for most of the people that lived in the building.

  Not for me.

I knew exactly what was happening and it was terrifying.

There was an open investigation into the fire, leaving me answering a lot of questions with no real information being exchanged. The second I met up with my father, the great and powerful Carl, he told me I was going to be protected. That I needed to follow his lead on the situation and keep my mouth shut if I wanted to survive.

It was my favorite time of the year and it was slowly being ruined. My father stopped celebrating and believing in Christmas after my mother passed away
from a short lived battle with cancer. I couldn’t blame him, considering the year she passed she was healthy in summer and never got to see the New Year’s ball drop. It all happened that fast.

I slept at my father’s house for a week before he told me to pack up and that I had somewhere to stay.

He refused to answer where and told me we were leaving within the hour.

I got ready and met up with my best friend, Amber, for coffee.

She offered me her place to crash at but I couldn’t. I didn’t want to put her in harm’s way.

We met at a little coffeehouse that was decked out in lights and garland. There was a Christmas tree in the corner with old fashioned ornaments. The corners of the window had snow sprayed on them, which was fun to see considering we were in California. As much as I loved Christmas, I had never seen snow. My parents loved the beach and loved the heat and sun. It never really bothered me about not seeing snow except for Christmastime and as Amber hugged me, rocking back and forth. It was just a gentle reminder that I had survived death.

Whoever threw the fiery cocktail at my apartment did so through the living room window. I was in the bedroom when it happened. According to the firefighters, there had been some prep work done to ensure the apartment would go up in flames fast. That was even scarier to me. Someone watching, waiting, plotting.

“How are you?” Amber asked, breaking my train of thought.

“I’m okay,” I lied. “Getting ready to go somewhere.”

  “Where?”

“I’m not sure. Dad has something planned for me. Just until the investigation blows over. You know him, he’s business as usual, and I don’t want to be alone.”

  “Come with me,” Amber said.

We ordered coffees and then sat down.

“I can’t live with you,” I said. “Just in case something else happens. Your apartment can’t burn down next.”

“So this was all planned against you? This wasn’t some random thing?”

“I don’t think many people have their apartment randomly burned down,” I said.

  “I can’t… aren’t you afraid?”

  “Yeah.”

  “You don’t look it.”

I sipped my coffee. “When you live the life I live, you just get used to whatever happens.”

“So you are going into like a witness program or something?” Amber asked.

  “Something like that,” I said.

Truth was, I wasn’t being offered help from the authorities. My father would never go for that anyway. He lived by his own set of rules and I followed because it was all I knew.

We finished our coffees and Amber hugged me, making me promise I’d keep in touch. I made it very clear that I wasn’t skipping the country. I wasn’t even skipping the state. I was barely going to another town.

Near the end of the day I was in the backseat of a black car. We pulled into the parking lot of what looked like a rundown auto garage or junkyard. Two guys opened the gate and we drove in.

The car stopped and I looked forward.

What I was saw was the biggest and roughest looking man I’d ever seen. Looking over his shoulder at the car. I could see the chiseled cut chin of his face. The steely, rattlesnake look in his eyes.

I leaned forward. “Who is that?” I asked my father.

My father gripped the steering wheel tighter.

“That… that’s the guy who is going to keep you safe. And alive.”

  three.

  (D)

I was called D because it was short for Diesel. And that was a nickname off my mother given name of Devon. That woman didn’t know how to name a kid let alone raise one or two… or three or four. Who the hell knows how many outlaws came crawling out between her legs.

None of that past shit in life mattered though.

I stood at the front of the clubhouse, holding a beer.

The guys were all around, leaving an open path from me to Trev.

“Give me the cut,” Xavier said.

I put the beer on the floor and I stripped the cut off my back. Xavier tore it out of my hand and threw it over the bar. He then swung his foot and kicked my beer bottle, making it shatter against the wall.

  “Get fucking ready,” Xavier growled.

  “Blindfold,” Jasper said.

  “Blindfold?” I asked. “For what?”

“You’re going to take a shower,” Trev said. “Celebrate your new cut.”

Cash suddenly appeared carrying two buckets. They were both full of… something.

“One is beer,” Jasper said. “Delicious, beautiful fucking beer. The other? Piss. From all of us.”

“Except me,” Cash said. “No… wait…”

Cash put the buckets down. He then unzipped his jeans and pulled out his dick. He let his monster flop right there in front of everyone. He grabbed hold and pointed it left to right, deciding what bucket to piss in.

This was my life. One of these buckets was going to get dumped all over my head.

  Just fucking great.

Cash chose the bucket on the right and started to piss.

It was the longest piss I’d ever seen.

“What the fuck, Cash?” Austin asked. “How much you got there?”

“I have a big dick,” Cash said. “I can hold a lot of piss.” He finally stopped and shook his dick. “There we go. I can’t wait to see this all over your face, Diesel.”

“That’s not the first time he’s heard that,” Max said with a grin.

“Want to come say that to my face?” I asked.

Max took a step but Duke grabbed his arm. “Not now. Let Prez handle this.”

“So here we are,” Trev said, stepping forward. “Ready to turn this pup into a big bad wolf.”

“Already been that way, Prez,” I said.

“Right,” Trev said. He reached out and snapped his fingers. That’s when Jasper offered Trev the official cut. My official cut. “This is what you’re here for.”

“Take a seat,” Trent said. He slid a chair at me.

  I sat down.

Prez walked to me and held the leather cut an inch from my face. “You know what this fucking thing means?”

“Of course I do,” I said.

“This comes with honor. Responsibility. This comes with a fucking death sentence. You put this leather cut on and the Reaper is chasing your ass down every time you step foot out of this clubhouse.”

“Respectfully so, Prez,” I said with a grin, “but the Reaper has been coming after me for a long time. With or without the cut, I know my destiny.”

  “And what’s that?”

“The open road. Warm pussy. Cold beer. And a shallow grave.”

The clubhouse erupted in cheers and yells for me.

Prez just nodded at me. “Put the blindfold on, fucking prick.”

Jasper came forward and slipped a black cloth over my eyes. I hated that feeling. Being blind. But this was what I had to go through. To show my loyalty to the MC. To show I was ready for whatever the fuck they wanted me to do.

I heard the clubhouse door open and shut.

“Give me a few minutes, Carl,” Prez said. “Grab a seat at the bar. You too, Tia. This won’t take long.”

Carl? Tia? Was that the black car that was outside?

  Whatever. It didn’t matter.

“Bring it on, Prez,” I said. “I don’t like not wearing my cut.”

“Bring the bucket,” Prez said. “Make sure you bring the right one, Cash.”

  “Great,” I muttered.

“Don’t worry,” Cash said. “I got the right one. No way I could fuck this up.”

I felt Cash’s footsteps as he walked around behind me. I grabbed my legs, knowing I wasn’t allowed to try and shield myself at all.

“Everyone back up,” Prez said. “Give him some space. The second you get covered you can take the blindfold off, Diesel. Then we’ll talk about your leather cut. You aren’t patched in just yet.”

  I braced mys
elf.

“On three,” Cash said. “You might want to hold your breath.”

The entire clubhouse called out at the same time…

  … one…

  two…

  … three!

Cash dumped the bucket and I was instantly soaked.

I let out a yell as the cool liquid splashed all over my head, face, shirt, body, and jeans. I quickly licked my lips, knowing I had a fifty-fifty chance of tasting everyone’s piss.

Lucky for me, it was beer.

  Delicious beer.

“Fuck yes,” I yelled and tore the blindfold off my head.

I ran my hands down my face and splashed the beer across the clubhouse. I took a few breaths, feeling my shirt clinging tight to my body.

“Stand the fuck up,” Prez said.

I stood up and felt the beer rush into my boots. My socks were instantly soggy. When I took breaths I smelled beer. When I licked my lips I tasted my beer. When I blinked my eyes I washed away beer.

Prez stood there with the leather cut in his hand. “There’s no celebration with this, Diesel. It’s time to get to work. Prove your worth.”

Prez threw the cut at me.

I clutched the motherfucker tighter than a beautiful woman with perfect curves.

The clubhouse blasted into another round of cheers for me.

Then they all came rushing at me to hug me, punch me, mess with my beer laced hair.

Just like that I was officially patched in as a member of Back Down Devil MC. Daurian charter.

When the guys got the fuck away from me, I looked around. My eyes stopped at the woman at the bar. She was staring right at me. Blue eyes, dark hair, almost angelic features on her soft face. She rested her chin to her hand and bit at a nail.

  Hey, darling…

Prez grabbed my shoulder and pulled at me. “Go get a fucking shower. Then meet me in the conference room.”

  “Yeah?”

“I told you, Diesel, you’re going straight to work.”

  I nodded.

I glanced back at the beauty at the bar.

I’d fucking like to go to work on her.

  four.

  (Tia)

He was huge sitting in the chair. Then a guy dumped beer on him. It splashed all over the floor and they all cheered like wild barbarians. That’s when he stood up and I realized just how big he was.

  Holyfuckingshit

Almost like a monster, tall, wide, and built like the rest of the guys in the motorcycle club.
